I’ve been really impressed with the Wellington Colts program. They’re one of the more well-known youth travel teams in the South Florida Travel Baseball League and other regional circuits. Communication has been great—Coach Jonathan is easy to reach, and his contact information is even listed on the league website, which says a lot about their accessibility. The program clearly focuses on developing players the right way. They have a long track record of success, and it’s not just talk—several former Colts have gone on to get drafted by Major League Baseball teams and even reach the big leagues. What I like most is that, unlike some of the big-name programs that only seem to care about high school showcases, the Colts really invest in their younger age groups. Their 12U AAA team had a 10-5 record last season and won two USSSA tournaments, plus they held their own in the Florida East Coast Travel League. If there’s one downside, it’s that information on fees or costs isn’t easy to find online. Still, the overall culture feels positive—competitive but also family-oriented—with a nice balance between community involvement and serious baseball development.
